Draft: not yet in force
This document is a draft waiting for legal review. Text in [brackets] is still to be filled in. This notice only shows outside production.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everything you build, run, upload or ask for on Anterra, and to how your apps' users use your apps. If you let other people use your app, you are responsible for making sure they follow these rules too.
1. Apps you may not build or run
Don't use Anterra to build, host or help with anything that:
- is illegal in the UK, or helps someone break the law;
- sexually exploits children. This includes any child sexual abuse material. We report it to the National Crime Agency and the Internet Watch Foundation, and we close the account;
- contains sexually explicit material or pornography;
- promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or encourages people to harm themselves or others;
- harasses, bullies, threatens or stalks people, or attacks people because of a protected characteristic (such as race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment or disability);
- deceives people: phishing, scams, fake shops, fake reviews, fake charities, or pretending to be a real person, company or government body;
- spreads malware, such as viruses, ransomware, spyware or software that secretly mines cryptocurrency;
- attacks other systems: hacking, denial-of-service attacks, password guessing, or scanning systems you don't own or have permission to test;
- sends spam: marketing emails or texts to people who haven't agreed to receive them, as the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require;
- collects personal data without a lawful reason, or tracks people secretly. This includes not telling people what your app collects, or ignoring their cookie choices;
- infringes other people's rights, such as copyright, trade marks, privacy or confidential information;
- makes realistic fake images, video or audio of real people without their permission, or misleading content about elections;
- sells weapons, drugs or other illegal or restricted goods, or offers gambling;
- offers a regulated service without the licence it needs, such as financial services, consumer credit, insurance, medical devices or legal services. If your app works in a regulated area, you are responsible for having the right permissions.
2. Using Anterra itself fairly
Don't:
- get around our limits, for example by opening several Free accounts, sharing one account between people who don't work together, or avoiding credit or spending limits;
- try to break out of our sandboxes, reach other customers' apps, data or secrets, or get into our systems;
- trick our AI agents into ignoring our safety rules or your workspace's settings (for example by hiding instructions in files or web pages);
- use Anterra mainly for something other than building apps, such as running heavy computing jobs or crypto mining in Previews or apps;
- resell Anterra, or offer it to others as your own service, without a written agreement with us;
- copy Anterra, or use what it produces to build a competing AI app builder or to train AI models;
- test our security without our permission. We welcome reports of security problems: see /security.txt and email security@anterra.io.
3. AI-generated content
- Check what Anterra makes before you publish it. You are responsible for your app and its content (see section 9 of the Terms of Service).
- Don't present AI-generated content as human-made where that would mislead people, or where the law requires you to say content is AI-generated.
- Don't use Anterra to make content that pretends to be a real person.
4. What happens if the rules are broken
If we reasonably believe something breaks this policy, we may:
- remove the content or switch off the feature involved;
- pause the app, or make it private;
- pause or close the workspace or account;
- report it to the police or another authority, where the law requires or where people are at risk.
We act in proportion to the problem. We will normally tell you what we did and why, unless the law stops us or telling you would cause harm. You can appeal at /appeal, or by emailing support@anterra.io. A person will look at it.
5. Reporting a problem
If you see an app on Anterra that breaks these rules, report it at /report or email support@anterra.io. For security problems, email security@anterra.io. Please don't test or exploit a weakness to show it exists.
